Rosters can have anywhere from 4-9 people but you can only utilize 4 players per match with a team. This means that someone from your team that played as hunter must play as the monster in a best of 3 or 5. Likewise, a team's monster player must play as hunter in subsequent rounds. On your roster you must include ALL STEAM url's of your players. Roster's will lock on March 2nd and we will be going through all the rosters BEFORE March 2nd to make sure the STEAM url's have been added.

1d. Reporting Matches

1. To report match results, mouse over "Games" select your "Team Name" from the "Team Moderator section (note - you must be a team captain to report results)

2 teams get matched.

1. In the match sheet, there is always a team on the left side and a team on the right side.

2. Team's will play ONE (1) round against a specific team. DO NOT SWAP SIDES.

3. Team's will alternate sides between each match (I will update this thread with pictures like we did last tournament)

4. The teams go to their servers, set the right settings and play their match. => The Hunt begins.

5. After the match has ended, the teams take screenshots of the match and report the result of their match on the DGL match results page.

All times are EASTERN STANDARD TIME!

2b. Para-Swiss Pairing Matches (Week 2)

2 teams get matched AFTER Week 1 matches have all been submitted (Please check the schedules Sunday night around 11:59 PM EST or Monday Morning.

4a. Servers should be hosted by the Monster player of the match, UNLESS they are not NA, in which case the NA side should host. If no NA host is available no problem.

4b. Hunter teams should be sure to read the server settings before The Hunt begins, to ensure that everything is set properly!!!

5. After the match has ended, the teams take screenshots of the match and report the result of their match on the DGL match results page.

2c. Tournament Matches (Week 3 and 4)

2 teams get matched.

1. In the matchsheet, there is always a team on the left side and a team on the right side.

2. The Team on the left side determines EITHER (one choice) side OR map, the other team chooses the choice left over (map or side)

3. The teams go to their servers, set the right settings and play their match. => The Hunt begins.

4. After the first match has ended, the teams take screenshots of the match.

5. Team's swap sides and play on the SAME map. After the second match has ended, the teams take screenshots of the match.

6. In case of a draw (1st round won and 2nd round lost) whoever has the lower seed (higher number) gets to choose EITHER (one choice) the map OR side that will be played on the third map. The other choice will be decided by the higher seeded (lower number) team. After this third match, the teams take screenshots of the match.

7. The team with the most wins has won the Best of 3 or 5 matches. NOTE - only the Finals are a best of 5.

7b. Once an outcome is determined (2-0, 3-0) the match ends. All 3 or 5 matches do not need to be played out after a conclusion has been reached.

8. Team's report the result of their rounds on the DGL match results page including screenshots.

2d. Maps

Tournament with a Map pool 10 maps (barracks and aviary are banned) This may be changed in the future as maps are played more imbalances will be discovered.

As it stands currently:

Week 1 will have 5 maps played TWICE each (that means there will be 10 single round matches)

Week 2 will have the other 5 maps played TWICE each (that means there will be 10 single round matches)

Why? We are going to be pulling data to see Monster vs Hunter win percentages even if it's a small data set and team's only play a team ONCE it will help(they play either monster or hunter, not both, in Week 1 or 2 versus a specific team).

Week 3 and Week 4 maps will be selected on a BAN BAN PICK PICK method.

2e. Map Picking for Week 3 and 4

Lower seed team bans map

Higher seed team bans map

Lower seed team picks map (high seed chooses side)

Higher seed team picks map (lower seed chooses side)

Lower seed chooses to either pick map or choose side, they must make their decision in full before the higher seed team chooses the remaining option.

On Sunday (March 29th) at 2 PM EST, Teams will play a total ONE (1) Best of 3 match against one team. Match results will be reported. At 3:30 PM EST another Best of 3 match will proceed. Match results will be reported and the matches for that day (Saturday) will be complete.

Week 4 - Match schedule to be determined based on number of teams participating. Will update further after roster lock occurs.

3. Tournament Rules

3a. Before the match

If matches need to be rescheduled for Week 1 and 2 they may be rescheduled, however, the match must be played by Sunday at 11 PM EST of that same week.

Week 3 and Week 4 matches cannot be rescheduled.

3b. Side Choice

For Week 1 and Week 2, the side choices are predetermined.

For week 3 and Week 4, the side choices are as described previously:

"In case of a draw (1st round won and 2nd round lost) whoever has the lower seed (higher number) gets to choose EITHER (one choice) the map OR side that will be played on the third map. The other choice will be decided by the higher seeded (lower number) team. After this third match, the teams take screenshots of the match."

3c. Server Crash

If the server crashes during a match, the match should be restarted and replayed.

3d. Game Abort

If your opponent should deliberately leave the match, you must file a protest. You are not allowed to enter a result yourself. This can be considered a fake result and will be penalized.

3e. Match Draw

Should opposing teams conclude a game with a Draw, the match will have to be replayed. Subsequent matches involving either team Drawing will be postponed until the completion of the replay.

4. General Rules

4a. Agreements

Certain agreements between participants are allowed to slightly differ from the DGL rules. Agreements that differ greatly from DGL rules are however not allowed. Please note that the DGL rules were made to ensure a fair match for all participants. You are not allowed to file a protest after the match if you think that the agreements made before the match in the end resulted in a disadvantage for your or your team.

Rules that can be changed with agreements are explicitly stated. Rules that do not explicitly state they can be changed by agreement, cannot have agreements made.

All arrangements between participants, made in addition to the DGL rules have to be written down in the match comments. The other participant has to confirm the arrangements also in the comments. To avoid abuse of the edit function, a third comment must be written.

Please also keep screenshots and/or logfiles of your arrangements. If you do not fulfil these requirements, any protests or supports concerning arrangements will be rejected.

The following rules may never be changed by arrangement:

Entering results for matches that have not been played

Allowing players to play that are barred because of penalty points, or are barred in a league due to a ban

Allowing players to play with a wrong game account

Following arrangements need the agreement of both participants:

Change of map, after the map has been entered

Note: arrangements as such can not be a condition to play a match.

4b. Player Disconnections

The waiting time for a dropped player is 15 minutes. If the player or a substitute rejoins the server and both teams are ready, the game can be resumed.

A single disconnection permits a rematch within the 15 minute time-frame.

Should a player disconnect a second time, it is considered a defeat for the player who disconnected.

4c. Change of Player

Players may be changed during a match but the opposing team has to be informed in advance. This change may not take more than 5 minutes, and should only be performed at side or map change, not halfway through a side (with the exception of a player drop). Should the change take longer than 5 minutes, the match can be continued without the full team and the player can join in the running game. The new player must be a part of the team and may not be barred.

4d. Illegal Actions

Any actions that result in an unfair advantage are illegal. This includes bug using of any kind.

4e. Fakers & Ringers

A ringer is a player, who is playing a match for another player. In special cases there may be barrages up to four weeks. Fakes are matches which haven't been played correctly (e.g. a match has been lost on purpose to gain the opponent more points). Such actions are illegal and will lead to penalties.

4f. Cheating

The use of any cheat is illegal. Players caught cheating will be removed from the league immediately. Any matches played with said player will be forfeited or overturned.

4g. Detail Controls

Each game or controls configuration, graphic or display modification that can’t be done through the ingame options menu is not allowed. All changes of the game’s graphics and/or textures with graphic card drivers/other tools to change the graphic configuration or such programs are strictly forbidden. Any team caught using such modifications will have their matches forfeited/overturned.

4h. Scripts and macro usage

All scripts, macros and changes to the game's configuration are not allowed, unless they are specifically allowed by the rules. Programs and macros that provide an advantage during game play (e.g. drivers that allow the removing of walls, single shot macros, etc.) are forbidden. Any programs that change the game itself are forbidden. The following results are listed to clarify some of the not allowed macros/scripts:

No Recoil or Recoil Control Macro/Script/Configuration Modification

Single Shot Macro/Script

Aim Assist/Aimbot through Config Modifications/Programs/Macros/Scripts

Auto reload Script/Macro

Auto Revive Script/Macro

Auto Spotting Script/Macro

What is the reasoning behind forcing our monster player to also play as a hunter? Can't say I am very happy with that, as we have built our team around dedicated monster/hunters.

Introducing time changes the entire premise of the game and makes trolling/griefing a BIG deal/strategy. This is why we moved away from utilizing time.

The lower seed does have a semi advantage but the higher seeded team should be the BEST therefore able to win regardless.

That being said it's not perfect and one side (monster/hunter) does get an advantage depending on the map. This is why we put in double eliminations to counteract that issue.

My own opinion is to NEVER have a game be decided by time... you'll get one team just running around trying to eat up time which is TERRIBLE to watch from a spectating standpoint and terrible to play in.

I'll be playing the tournament, but can't say I am a fan of the way the matches work. In this setup, it heavily favors seeds to choose victors rather than letting the tournament play itself out to see a victor.

Should be a best of 2 or 3 rounds, each round consisting of team 1 hunters vs team 2 monster and team 2 hunters vs team 1 monster. Monster wins grant a point, most points wins, lowest combined time for monster wins decides a tie in points.

The way it is now, if I'm the lower seed, I basically get the big advantage of choosing which side of my team is the strongest and playing with that side.

I like the fact that this is now spread out over a few weeks though, so good on you for making that decision. However, I feel this format is a little too arbitrary and leaves a lot up to things that are not simply player skill and team cohesion.
